Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The Santa Monica SBDC (part of the LA Regional SBDC network) offers small business owners training in management, marketing and financial skills needed to compete in today's challenging business environment. Services include free one-on-one consulting and low cost training/workshops. The SBDC is located at Santa Monica Airport.

Buy Local Santa Monica

Buy Local Santa Monica was created by representatives of the Santa Monica business community and the city to support local businesses and raise awareness of the community, economic and environmental benefits of choosing local first. This program is FREE to all Santa Monica businesses.

Green Business Programs

The Business Greening Program helps businesses increase resource efficiency and "green their bottom line." The program is FREE to Santa Monica businesses.

Santa Monica City Net^SM

A 10 Gb/s broadband initiative by the City of Santa Monica to support an environment for Santa Monica businesses to compete in the global economy with cutting edge network solutions. In addition to dark fiber leasing and co-locations services, the city offers offer City Wi-Fi^SM a free Citywide WiFi service.

LEED Priority + Green Building Incentives

The city expedites plan checks and permitting for LEED-registered projects.

e-Plans

Santa Monica's Building and Safety Division accepts building plans electronically, saving businesses time and money on printing and travel. Builders can track the status of their projects online.
