All permitted projects require an inspection by a Building and Safety Division Inspector. An inspection ensures that the project is constructed according to approved plans.
Inspections can be scheduled online or by phone.
Jobsites MUST be available for Inspection Services from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (M-F).

Schedule an Inspection by Phone
To request an inspection, have your permit number ready and phone: (310) 458-2202. The IVR system is on a first come, first serve basis and allows inspections to be scheduled for a two-week period. Inspection cancellations must be completed through the IVR system by 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled inspection; otherwise a re-inspection fee will be charged to the permit. At that point, you may not get an inspection until this fee has been paid.
