Plan check and permit fees are adjusted annually according to the Consumer Price Index. View Fee Schedule as of July 1, 2010.
Permit Fees
The costs of building permits, including plan check and permit fees, are based on the square footage of the project as determined by the type of construction, size of project and the specific use of the building or structure.
Plan Check Fees
Plan check fees, as well as all other applicable mandatory fees, are paid at the time a project is submitted. Depending on the scope of the project, other fees may include Environmental Public Works fees, Planning Fees, Unit and Condo tax, Seismic Mapping fees, etc. If during the plan check process any adjustment to the valuation is made, the corrected total fees shall be collected at the time of the final plan approval.
All over-the-counter plan check fees are due at time of approval.
Inspection Fees
Inspection cancellations MUST be completed through the IVR system by 3:00 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled inspection; otherwise a re-inspection fee will be charged to the permit. At that point, you may not get an inspection until this fee has been paid.
