Santa Monica Airport Artist Space Program
The City of Santa Monica currently has 18 studio spaces at the Santa Monica Airport. These studios can only be used by individual artists engaged in the production of any of the following art media: painting, drawing, sculpture, small scale glass works, ceramics, textiles, woodworking, photography, video art, printmaking, and other visual arts and handcrafts. The spaces must serve as studios, workshops, and other uses primarily dedicated to the production of original works of visual art.
When these spaces become available, applicants are chosen from a waiting list of pre-qualified artists maintained by the Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Division and the Santa Monica Airport. Eligible artists are added to the waiting list as applications are received by the City on a first-come first served basis.
