(your) Help Wanted

We want to hear from you!

The City of Santa Monica is in the process of developing a five-year plan that will address priority housing and community development needs.  This plan is required in order for the City to receive federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Act (HOME) funds.  Each year, Santa Monica allocates federal and local funds to a variety of housing and community development activities, mostly targeted to low-income households and areas within the City.

Please give us your feedback on community needs and priorities!  The survey should take about 10 minutes.

Fourth Annual Santa Monica Airport ArtWalk
Saturday, March 20, 1 – 5 p.m.

Meet the resident artists of the airport arts community, a cultural resource located in a unique, creative atmosphere!  One of L.A. County’s oldest operating airfields, Santa Monica Airport has developed over time into an arts incubator, and is home to a number of creative venues.

Along Airport Avenue, between Bundy Drive and 23rd Street, more than 60 local artists and performers will have their private studios and works on view, including Santa Monica Art Studios, Santa Monica College Art Mentor Program and Ceramic Arts and the Ruskin Group Theatre. Painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media will be represented. Galleries participating in the program’s converted airplane hangars are ARENA 1 and the Sherry Frumkin Gallery.
