Appointment to Vacant City Council Seat

 
At their February 23, 2010, City Council meeting, the City Council will consider making an appointment to the current vacant seat on the City Council.  Residents interested in being appointed to this vacancy may contact any Councilmember(s) directly, or the City Clerk’s Office to convey his/her interest.  For more information on the appointment process please view the notice or call the City Clerk’s office at (310) 458-8211. 

Please note that if filled by appointment, the appointee will serve through November 2010.  The vacant seat shall be placed on the November 2010 ballot so voters may elect a Councilmember to serve the remainder of the term which expires November 2012.   List of registered applicants > > >

The Draft Environmental Impact Report for Santa Monica's Land Use and Circulation Element is now available.  A 45-day public review period extends through March 8, 2010.  Comments are due at 5:30 p.m.

The document and instructions for submitting comments are available online at www.shapethefuture2025.net.  Hard copies are available for in-person review at public counters in City Hall and at all of the library facilities.
